Yaya Touré was the complete midfielder. Once he set off with the ball, stopping him took more than one player.
He played from 2001 to 2019 for ASEC Mimosas, Beveren, Metalurh Donetsk, Olympiacos, Monaco, Barcelona and Manchester City. The medals:
- the Champions League with Barcelona in 2009
- three Premier League titles with Manchester City, after he scored the FA Cup final winner that started the club's run of trophies
- the Africa Cup of Nations with Ivory Coast in 2015
On top of that, he was African Footballer of the Year four times in a row, from 2011 to 2014.
