Guglielmo Vicario is set to join Juventus on an initial loan deal after Tottenham Hotspur tacticians decided to let the Italian goalkeeper depart the club this summer.
The move follows the decision by the Turin giants to abandon their pursuit of Aston Villa star boy Emiliano Martínez.
Vicario has struggled for regular minutes under Roberto De Zerbi after losing his number one slot to Antonin Kinsky.
The agreement with the Italian outfit includes an option to make the 29-year-old's move permanent next year for a fee of £8.6m.
The goalkeeper arrived in north London in 2023 for £17.2m and has since made nearly 120 appearances for the Spurs faithful.
His departure adds to a growing list of exits from the club this window, including Cristian Romero and Djed Spence.
Meanwhile, Coventry City secured the services of Nigerian striker Taiwo Awoniyi from Nottingham Forest for £9m.
“I am very excited about this season, and I can’t wait to get started,” Awoniyi said.
“I’m really looking forward to working with my new teammates. They were incredible last season.”
Ipswich also completed a double raid on Strasbourg for Abdoul Ouattara and Julio Enciso ahead of their Premier League opener.
Enciso has signed a five-year deal with the Suffolk club after a productive loan spell at Portman Road.
