Uganda Aquatics confirmed final preparations for the Africa Aquatics Zone III Championships running from October 21 to 25 at Kampala International School of Uganda in Kabira.
President Moses Mwase and Meet Coordinator Eric Kisero outlined readiness across marketing, medical services, transport and accommodation at the weekend update.
The championships will feature swimming from October 21 to 24 before open water swimming and water polo take over the programme.
Approximately 11 countries including Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi are expected with seven already confirmed.
Uganda will field two swimming teams and 22 water polo players across junior and senior categories as hosts.
Kisero revealed 89 swimmers have been selected while Team Uganda has completed three of six training camp days with 80 percent attendance.
Uganda enters as defending champions having won the previous three editions in Nairobi, Bujumbura and Kigali.
The inclusion of three disciplines reflects Uganda Aquatics' ambition to expand aquatic sports beyond pool swimming.
Zone IV scheduling conflicts may affect participation from Southern African nations.
Remaining swimmers currently abroad are expected to join the camp before the championships begin.
