Ghana communications director Henry Asante Twum said the Black Stars are determined to start the AFCON 2027 qualifiers strongly after a poor beginning in the previous campaign.
Twum stressed the importance of beginning the qualifying campaign positively during a recent media engagement.
"We want to start well. It is always important to start well in the qualifiers," Twum said.
He acknowledged that Ghana failed to make the desired start in the last edition of the qualifiers but said the team is focused on improving this time around.
"We did not start well in the last edition of the AFCON qualifiers, but we want to do well this time around," he added.
The argument doing the rounds in Accra is whether the Black Stars can finally translate early promise into sustained qualification success.
The Black Stars will aim to set the tone early in their 2027 AFCON qualifying campaign as they seek to secure a place at the tournament.
