Uganda Tourism Board secured official destination sponsor rights for AFCON Pamoja 2027 at a ceremony held at Marriott Hotel Kampala on Thursday.
The agreement allows UTB to showcase Uganda's tourism attractions to over three billion global viewers during the tournament co-hosted by Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.
CAF General Secretary Samson Adamu said the partnership will position Uganda as a tourism destination beyond being a host nation for the 19 June to 17 July event.
UTB Chief Executive Officer Juliana Kagwa described the tournament as the biggest tourism marketing opportunity Uganda has had in a generation.
The Explore Uganda, The Pearl of Africa brand will feature across broadcast, digital and in-stadium platforms throughout the competition.
Minister of State for Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities Suzan Nakawuki and Deputy Speaker of Parliament Thomas Tayebwa attended the launch.
The deal forms part of a broader strategy to leverage African football's global appeal to stimulate tourism and investment across East Africa.
