Team Uganda bowed out of the All Africa Junior Badminton Championships after a 2-0 quarterfinal defeat to Mauritius in Cairo on Monday.
The Ugandan side had opened its Group A campaign with a walkover against Zambia before losing 2-0 to Algeria.
That result still earned Uganda a place in the knockout stage where they met Mauritius.
The loss ended Uganda's hopes of advancing further in the team relay competition that runs from September 27 to 29 at Cairo Stadium.
Uganda was represented by eight players: Samuel Bisaso, Carlton Kisakye, Aaron Ndawula, Benjamin Ssekanjako, Ramiah Bukenya, Thara Nagujja, Claire Namirembe and Abigail Ndagire.
The championships provided the Ugandan juniors with an opportunity to compete against continental counterparts and gain international experience.
