Manchester City face Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday in their first match since being found guilty of 114 Premier League financial charges.
An Independent Commission ruled the club breached rules between 2009-10 and 2017-18 involving more than £830million in alleged sham agreements.
The club have already launched an appeal against the verdict which could bring fines points deductions or even expulsion.
Manager Enzo Maresca insisted he has complete trust in the club ahead of the 4:30pm kick-off.
"Personally I am very calm to be honest the club has been quite clear we trust completely the club" Maresca said.
He added the focus remains only on the football side they can control.
Midfielder Nico O'Reilly missed training on Friday after picking up an injury on England duty during the international break.
Everton boss David Moyes criticised the delay in City's punishment compared to his club's swift points deduction.
"Looking at it now from where I am sitting it looks terrible that we have been docked points and paid some fines" Moyes said.
City travel to Anfield expecting a hostile reception from the Liverpool faithful.
The argument doing the rounds in Kampala is whether City will escape with a fine or if a points deduction will finally level the playing field for rivals.
