Italian outlet Calciomercato reports that Inter Milan, Lazio and Atalanta are circling a swoop for Federico Chiesa, with the 28-year-old ready to depart Anfield in January.

The Italian international made just two Premier League starts across two seasons under former boss Arne Slot after signing from Juventus in summer 2024.

Despite being linked with a move away this summer, Chiesa claimed he wanted to stay and fight for a spot under new head coach Andoni Iraola.

However, the winger is yet to feature for the Reds this season due to injury and was left out of the club's official 25-man Champions League squad.

Meanwhile, teenager Rio Ngumoha has opened up about a private chat he had with Mohamed Salah before the Egyptian star departed the club this summer.

Ngumoha became the youngest scorer in Liverpool history when he netted a late winner in a 3-2 victory over Newcastle United in August 2025 aged 16 years and 361 days.

The 18-year-old has since earned his first senior England cap while continuing his development under Iraola.

Liverpool return to Premier League action against Manchester City at Anfield next Sunday in what could be a major test for Iraola's side.

The Reds remain unbeaten in all competitions but have only two league wins against Ipswich Town and Bournemouth so far.

Key facts:

  • Federico Chiesa: 2 Premier League starts since 2024 arrival
  • Left out of Champions League 25-man squad
  • Inter Milan, Lazio, Atalanta interested
  • Rio Ngumoha: youngest Liverpool scorer (16y 361d)
  • Ngumoha scored winner in 3-2 vs Newcastle August 2025
  • Liverpool vs Manchester City at Anfield next Sunday
