Uganda women's cricket team the Victoria Pearls begin their Victoria Series 2026 title defence against Namibia, USA and Rwanda at Entebbe Cricket Oval on 4 November.
The tournament runs until 15 November and pits the hosts against familiar rivals from the Capricorn Series and Easter Cup.
Victoria Pearls arrive as Capricorn Series champions after beating hosts Namibia in the Windhoek final during July.
Janet Mbabazi scored 61 off 56 balls in that final while Consylate Aweko claimed 3/20 to restrict the Capricorn Eagles.
Uganda swept Canada 5-0 in last year's Victoria Series at Lugogo Cricket Oval from 20 to 26 October 2025.
The Pearls also went unbeaten against USA in the Easter Women's T20 Cup at Lakeside Oval in April 2026.
Uganda edged the opening match by one run defending 103/5 before sealing an 11-run win bowling USA out for 90.
Immaculate Nakisuuyi took four wickets in the tournament opener to set the tone for the clean sweep.
Cricket Uganda honorary secretary Denis Musali said hosting the quadrangular shows commitment to growing the women's game.
Musali added the event gives fans a chance to watch world-class talent in Entebbe ahead of the 2027 World Cup Africa Qualifier.
The Victoria Series doubles as preparation for that qualifier where Uganda will meet the same opponents again.
Rwanda, Namibia and USA all travel to Entebbe for the ten-day round-robin competition.
Matches will be played at Entebbe Cricket Oval which hosted the Easter Cup earlier this year.
Uganda will fancy their chances given recent home dominance and winning momentum from Namibia.
The argument in Kampala cricket circles is whether the Pearls can replicate the 5-0 sweep against stronger opposition this time.
