URA beat Vipers 1-0 at Hamz Stadium on Friday to inflict a second successive StarTimes Uganda Premier League defeat on the Venoms.
Skipper Moses Aliro Okabo scored the only goal on the stroke of half-time to hand Sam Ssimbwa back-to-back wins since his appointment.
Vipers squandered a late chance to level when substitute Farouk Miya saw his penalty saved by goalkeeper Khassim Hafizi.
The Tax Collectors had beaten UPDF 1-0 on Tuesday to kick-start their revival under the new tactician.

The result lifts URA up the table while the Venoms drop further off the pace in the early title race.
Miya came off the bench hoping to turn the tide but Hafizi stood tall to preserve the clean sheet.
