Namilyango College and Bweranyangi Girls School won the opening leg of the Hima Clash of Titans at Uganda Golf Club on Sunday.
The Ngonians amassed 356 points to edge Kings College Buddo on 352 while defending champions Ntare School finished third with 350.
Bweranyangi extended their dominance in the girls' contest with Maryhill High School second on 149 points and Gayaza High School third on 101.
The fifth edition of the alumni-driven series attracted a large turnout of old students across the two-day event.
The grand finale is scheduled for October 10 at the same Entebbe venue.
