Manchester United and Liverpool face an anxious wait over the fitness of Patrick Dorgu and Cody Gakpo after both limped off during Nations League matches on Saturday.
Dorgu started for Denmark against Wales in Copenhagen but lasted only 30 minutes before Mohamed Daramy replaced the versatile full-back.
Denmark went on to win 2-1 thanks to a Ben Davies own-goal and a strike from Gustav Isaksen.
Gakpo fared worse for the Netherlands against Serbia as manager Xavi withdrew the Liverpool forward after just 17 minutes with Ruben van Bommel taking his place.
The Merseysiders also sweat on Alexander Isak who withdrew from Sweden duty following a heavy stamp on his foot against Romania on Friday.
Isak played 90 minutes in the 2-1 win but was later seen with blood soaking through his sock in the mixed zone.
The Swedish FA confirmed this morning the striker returned to his club due to a minor injury.
Fans hope the minor nature means Isak is available when Liverpool host Manchester City on October 11.
The argument doing the rounds in Kampala is whether United and Liverpool squad depth can absorb losing key men before a title-defining fixture.
Key injury updates:
- Patrick Dorgu: withdrawn at 30 mins for Denmark vs Wales (2-1 Denmark win)
- Cody Gakpo: withdrawn at 17 mins for Netherlands vs Serbia
- Alexander Isak: withdrawn from Sweden squad after heavy stamp vs Romania (2-1 Sweden win)
- Sweden FA labels Isak injury "minor"
- Next key fixture: Liverpool vs Manchester City, October 11
