Madagascar Barea arrived in Nigeria on Monday, putting today's AFCON spotlight on Friday's 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Super Eagles at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.

The Madagascar delegation landed in Nigeria as both camps intensified final preparations for the continental qualifier scheduled for Friday, September 25.

The Barea will seek to adapt quickly to the Nigerian environment, with training sessions expected before they face Eric Chelle's Super Eagles.

Nigeria's technical crew is already working on tactics and team combinations in Uyo, where the Super Eagles faithful are expected to create a lively atmosphere.

The argument doing the rounds is whether the visitors can settle quickly enough to challenge a Nigeria side chasing maximum points in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualification race.
