KCCA finally got their 2026/27 StarTimes Uganda Premier League campaign up and running with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Kataka at MTN-Omondi Stadium on Wednesday.
The result came as a relief to coach Brian Ssenyondo after KCCA’s sluggish start to the campaign, lifting them up to eighth on four points.
Kataka, meanwhile, occupy the red-flagged zone with just a single point from their opening fixtures.
Police claimed their second win of the campaign with a 2-0 victory over Lugazi at the Lugazi Grounds in Najjemba.
Ramsey Jjemba sealed the points in the 89th minute with a composed finish after creating space with a sharp dummy.
The result lifted Police to fifth place on seven points, while Lugazi remained searching for consistency.
Elsewhere, Mbarara City and Entebbe UPPC settled for a 0-0 draw in Western Uganda, a result that leaves both outfits still searching for their first wins of the season.
