Tunisian giants CS Sfaxien have arrived in Nigeria ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup first-leg preliminary round tie against Shooting Stars on Saturday.

The North Africans touched down as final preparations intensified for the continental encounter at the MKO Abiola Sports Arena, with kick-off set for 4:00 p.m.

Shooting Stars, also known as the Oluyole Warriors, will count on home support as they chase a positive result before the return leg in Tunisia.

For CS Sfaxien, the target is straightforward: leave Nigeria with a scoreline that keeps them in the driving seat going into the second leg.

The argument doing the rounds is whether Shooting Stars can use the Ibadan turf to bully a side seasoned in African club football, or whether CS Sfaxien's continental nous will travel.

Both clubs are fighting for a place in the next round of one of Africa's major inter-club competitions.

What is at stake for Shooting Stars and CS Sfaxien?

The winner over two legs progresses to the next round of the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary stage, while the loser drops out of continental competition for the season.
