Cricket Uganda visited Hungry Lulu on Thursday to explore a strategic partnership centred on athlete performance and corporate collaboration. A delegation led by Honorary Secretary Denis Musali and including Physiotherapist Imam Tugume met Hungry Lulu co-founder Ajay Bhanushali at the healthy snacks brand's offices in Kampala.
The talks focused on how clean nutrition can support national team athletes through demanding tournament schedules and recovery periods.
“Partnering with brands that share our vision for health, nutrition, and performance is a crucial step for Ugandan cricket,” Musali said.
Imam Tugume stressed the performance edge: “Optimal athletic performance starts with what we put into our bodies.”
Both sides expressed strong optimism, with formal partnership details expected to be finalised in due course.
The argument doing the rounds in Kampala is whether cricket's administration is moving fast enough to secure commercial deals that rival those in football.
How will the Cricket Uganda-Hungry Lulu deal help athletes?
The partnership aims to give Cranes players access to healthy snacks that support recovery, fatigue management, and peak performance during competitions.
