Coca-Cola Kicks Off EPL Season With Lugogo Watch Party

Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda launches free Premier League watch parties in Kampala to unite fans ahead of the 2026/27 season. The opener between Arsenal and Coventry City saw the reigning champions win 3-0 at Millennium Park, Lugogo, with Havertz, Saka and Ødegaard scoring. Friday's event featured live music, food vendors and social media engagement. Saturday continues the celebration with Manchester United vs Hull City scheduled for 2:30pm at MKM Stadium. Cocacola's Barry Ottieno praised Uganda's football passion, stating the partnership strengthens their connection with consumers through shared sports experiences.

The company’s dug deeper into local football culture, planning weekly watch parties to involve youth ambassadors this season.

Fans must purchase a 500ml Coca-Cola, Fanta or Sprite drink to gain entry. After scanning a product QR code to register online, participants must upload videos showing their football rituals to social channels for a chance to win Shs50m prizes.
