Cameroon defeated Malawi 3-0 at Moulay El Hassan Stadium in Rabat on Sunday to emerge as the 2026 WAFCON champions.
The Indomitable Lionesses secured their maiden title after a blistering first-half performance that left the Malawi outfit with no answers.
Marie Ngah struck twice, including a goal in the 20th minute, before Naomi Ndjoah Eto doubled the lead ten minutes later.
Ngah completed her hat-trick just three minutes into first-half stoppage time to seal a dominant victory for the Cameroon side.
This triumph ends a period of frustration for the Indomitable Lionesses, who previously lost three finals in 2004, 2014, and 2016.
Much as they initially faced qualification hurdles, Cameroon benefited from CAF's decision to expand the tournament from 12 to 16 teams.
The champions completed the tournament unbeaten and did not concede a single goal during normal time.
Cameroon become the fourth nation to lift the trophy, joining the roll of honour alongside Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea, and South Africa.
