Armed Forces derby: Maroons FC vs Police FC

The story of the rivalry

Maroons FC are the Prison Warders and Police FC are the Cops, so their meeting is a derby between two uniformed service clubs. In May 2025 Maroons won 1-0 through a goal by Ivan Mayanja, which was revenge for Police knocking them out of the Stanbic Uganda Cup in the round of 16 that year. Kawowo again called the fixture an inter-forces derby in April 2026.
