The first player of the week is announced on Monday after the next round of league games. Until then, see the weekend results and the UPL table.

How we pick the player of the week

Points: goal 5, assist 3, winning goal 2 extra, clean sheet 3 for a goalkeeper who started and was not substituted, own goal minus 2, red card minus 3. If two players have the same points, more goals wins, then more assists, winning goals, clean sheets and wins, then fewer red cards and fewer yellow cards, and finally the lower player number on upl.co.ug. A player needs at least 5 points to be picked. All data comes from the match pages of the Uganda Premier League (upl.co.ug).

The week runs from Monday to Sunday. Every winner article lists the matches with links to the official match pages, so you can check every number.
