Vipers SC beat Ntugasaze FC 3-0 at St Mary's Stadium on Saturday to claim their first win of the 2026/27 StarTimes Uganda Premier League season.
Gusto Mulongo opened the scoring in the 27th minute when he headed home Karim Watambala's corner kick.
Chukwuma Odili doubled the lead in the 60th minute with a fine strike after a weighted long pass from substitute Farouk Miya.
Ceaser Manzoki sealed the victory three minutes later when he turned home a Usama Arafat cutback with Miya again the architect.
The result lifts the defending champions to 11th position on the table after a season-opening loss to Entebbe UPPC.
Ntugasaze FC remain rooted to the bottom with zero points from four matches in their maiden top-flight campaign.
The argument doing the rounds in Kampala is whether Farouk Miya's cameo off the bench settles the debate over his best role in Denis Lavagne's new system.
