Eh, what a twist. Barcelona's love story with Marcus Rashford is looking more like a messy breakup, wamma.
Rashford's Barcelona Dream Crashing
Barcelona was ready to make Marcus Rashford's loan permanent for £26 million. But now? The Spanish giants have apparently cooled off faster than a Rolex in Kampala traffic. According to Marca, Barca's interest in the Man Utd forward has 'cooled drastically' after he scored just TWO goals in his last 16 games.
Enter Alexander Sorloth - The New Crush
While Rashford is struggling to impress, Barcelona is reportedly eyeing Alexander Sorloth from Atletico Madrid. This Norwegian striker has been cooking at Atleti, and Barca thinks he might be a better deal. Talk about being replaced by a cheaper model.
Julian Alvarez Also in the Mix
The drama doesn't stop there. Barcelona is also considering Manchester City's Julian Alvarez as an alternative. But Atletico Madrid is ready to offer him a huge wage hike to keep him. It's like a transfer tug-of-war, and poor Rashford is watching from the sidelines.
What's Next for Rashford?
With Barcelona backing off and other clubs potentially interested, Rashford's future is more uncertain than the weather in Kampala. Will he stay at Man Utd and fight for his place? Or will he find a new home where he can actually score goals? One thing's for sure - this transfer saga is far from over. Stay tuned, football fam.
