PUSH Cricket Academy made history by becoming the first Ugandan academy to host a visiting team from outside the country, beating Kenya's Nakuru Pirates 4-2 in a landmark series at Entebbe Cricket Oval.

The six-match series featured a mix of T20 and 50-over contests played over several days in September.

Rain and the delayed arrival of the Pirates forced the abandonment of the opening two fixtures.

Nakuru Pirates claimed the first completed T20 on September 22 by six wickets after bowling PUSH out.

Allan Kibabii took three wickets for the visitors while Anthony Ndungu and Kelvin Nganga grabbed two each.

PUSH responded emphatically in the second T20 thanks to a stunning century from Robert Owili.

Owili smashed 101 off just 47 balls with 11 fours and seven sixes as PUSH posted 191 for eight.

The Pirates fell nine runs short in the chase to hand PUSH their first win.

The hosts then dominated the following day with two DLS victories by six and eight wickets respectively.

Nakuru hit back in the first 50-over game on September 24, bowling PUSH out for 133 and chasing the target in 23.5 overs for a seven-wicket win.

PUSH sealed the series on the final day with a commanding 116-run victory in the second 50-over match.

Batting first, PUSH made 246 all out with Hariom Dhudarejiya scoring 54 and Owili adding 85.

Raymond Kagera claimed three wickets and Hariom took two as the visitors collapsed to 130 for nine.

Proprietor Jackson Ogwang hailed the tour as a major milestone for the academy's mission to support disadvantaged young cricketers.

The series provided a platform for players and officials from both nations to strengthen friendships and exchange experiences.
