Licensed operator Pepeta Uganda has launched a mobile-first sportsbook targeting Ugandan bettors with coverage of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League and major European competitions. The platform holds a National Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board licence and processes deposits and withdrawals through MTN Mobile Money and Airtel Money with fast settlement after matches conclude.

Live betting markets update in real time across football, basketball, Formula One and rugby, allowing users to react to in-match events such as yellow cards and corner kicks. The sportsbook also features custom interface themes branded around major football clubs so supporters can personalise their betting environment.

Pepeta supplements the sportsbook with crash games including Aviator, Navigator, Pilot and Chicken. A twice-weekly email newsletter delivers UPL previews on Fridays and post-weekend analysis on Mondays, written by journalists who attend the matches.

The argument doing the rounds in Kampala is whether another licensed bookmaker improves odds competition or simply fragments the market further.

  • Live betting with real-time odds updates
  • MTN Mobile Money and Airtel Money integration
