Juventus have officially announced the signing of Senegal international Pape Matar Sarr from Tottenham Hotspur on an initial loan deal for the 2026/27 Serie A season.
The Italian giants will pay Tottenham approximately €2.5 million (£2.1 million) for the season-long loan, with the agreement also containing an obligation to make the transfer permanent if certain conditions are met.
Should those conditions be fulfilled, Juventus will pay a further €27.5 million (£23.6 million) to secure Sarr's permanent move.
The transfer brings an end to the 23-year-old midfielder's spell in north London, where he arrived from French club Metz in 2021 and went on to make more than 100 Premier League appearances.
His time at Spurs included a major European triumph, as he was part of the Tottenham side that won the UEFA Europa League in 2025.
At international level, Sarr has earned 42 caps for the Teranga Lions since his senior debut in 2021, and was part of the Senegal squad that won the Africa Cup of Nations in 2022.
Juventus see Sarr as a player capable of adding athleticism and technical quality to their midfield.
For Tottenham, the agreement provides an opportunity to secure a significant fee for a player who has spent five years at the club.
The Senegalese midfielder now begins a new chapter in Turin, with Juventus hoping he can quickly establish himself as a key component of their midfield.
