President Museveni assured CAF Acting Secretary General Samson Adamu that Uganda will address outstanding requirements for AFCON 2027 during a State House meeting on Tuesday.
The CAF delegation briefed Museveni on inspections of stadiums, training facilities and supporting infrastructure across the three host nations.
CAF Country Infrastructure Manager Bianca Wambui commended progress on stadiums and training grounds during the visit.
Museveni said the government would concentrate on upcountry facilities after successfully hosting the 2024 NAM Summit in Kampala.
Uganda is preparing Mandela National Stadium in Kampala, Akii-Bua Olympic Stadium in Lira and Hoima City Stadium for the tournament.
The Local Organising Committee expects all three principal stadiums to be ready by the end of December 2026.
Adamu asked Museveni to support a single visa arrangement for Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania to ease cross-border movement during AFCON 2027.
Museveni said he would follow up with his counterparts in Kenya and Tanzania on the visa proposal.
The National AFCON Task Force led by Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja also briefed the President on preparations.
