Manchester United teenage star JJ Gabriel has restored posts to his Instagram account after wiping the profile clean earlier in September when he requested to have his registration cancelled.
The 15-year-old prodigy is too young to sign a scholarship or professional contract, leaving registration cancellation as his only immediate exit route, which United have denied.
Gabriel turns 16 on October 6, at which point he could leave for a European club with the correct documentation, with Barcelona and Real Madrid among rumoured suitors.
Two posts have returned to his profile, including a picture from his long-term Nike contract signing in late 2025 and another showing him winning the Under-18 Premier League Player of the Season award for 2025/26 alongside Alan Shearer.
Instagram allows users to archive and restore posts or recover deleted content within 30 days, though it remains unclear which method Gabriel used.
Elsewhere, Senegal head coach Patrick Vieira revealed he once secretly met Sir Alex Ferguson to discuss a transfer from Arsenal to Old Trafford during his playing days.
Ferguson wanted to partner Vieira with Roy Keane despite the fierce rivalry between the pair, though the meeting did not lead to a move.
United return to Premier League action against Tottenham after the international break following a mixed start of one win, two draws and two defeats in five league games.
The Venoms also suffered a 3-2 Carabao Cup third-round defeat to Brighton but opened their Champions League campaign with a victory over Sabah FK.
