Liverpool transfers: Salah, Konate and Robertson leave

Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson, and Ibrahima Konate have officially walked out of Anfield. It is a bloody exodus. Along with these three superstars, nine academy players have also parted ways with the club following the expiry of their contracts.

This isn't just a trim; it's a total clear-out. At the stroke of midnight, twelve players became free agents or joined new clubs. For the Ugandan fans who have followed Salah's magic for years, this is a heavy blow. The Egyptian King is gone.

Where are the Liverpool stars heading?

Real Madrid have already swooped in for Ibrahima Konate. The French centre-back has put pen to paper with the Spanish giants. He was earning £150k per week at Liverpool, but that is now history.

Andy Robertson is heading to London. The Scotland international is set to join Tottenham Hotspur. Robertson was taking home £160,000 a week, a huge chunk of change that Andoni Iraola now has back in his pocket.

Then there is Salah. The big question remains: where will he play next season? His destination is currently uncertain. The man was commanding a remarkable £400,000 per week after signing a two-year deal back in 2025. Wamma! That is some serious money.

How does the wage bill look now?

Andoni Iraola is playing a dangerous game of musical chairs with this squad. By letting these three high-profile names go, he has slashed a staggering £710,000 a week from the wage bill.

That is a massive amount of breathing room for the club. This financial windfall will bolster their pursuit of new signings this summer.

Other academy graduates like Kareem Ahmed, Emmanuel Airoboma, and James Balagizi are also among the twelve who have left. It is a new era at Anfield, but it feels empty without the Egyptian's goals.

Who left Liverpool in the official exodus?

Twelve players officially left the club, including Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson, Ibrahima Konate, and nine academy players whose contracts expired.
