Libya head coach Youssoupha Dabo has warned his side to expect a difficult outing against the Uganda Cranes when the teams meet on Tuesday at Hoima City Stadium in the 2027 AFCON PAMOJA Qualifiers.
The Mediterranean Knights coach acknowledged Uganda's cohesion as a unit that has been together for some time.
"We are here to play and win but we know it will be a tough game against a very good side that has been together for some time now," Dabo said.
The tactician wants his charges to replicate the fighting spirit they showed in the second half against Botswana.
Libya conceded twice early in that opening fixture but rallied after the break to secure a draw.
"If there is anything I can pick from that match, it is the fighting spirit the players put up in the second half and if we can replicate that here, it will be good for us," he added.
Dabo is aware the fixture marks Uganda's maiden competitive match at the new Hoima venue.
He concedes the hosts will be desperate to mark the occasion with victory but insists Libya travel with their own ambitions.
Group H also contains Tunisia and Botswana but only one nation advances because Uganda already qualified as tournament hosts.
The argument doing the rounds in Kampala is whether the Cranes will field a full-strength side with nothing riding on the result.
Ask any Uganda supporter and you get two answers: blood the fringe players or protect the unbeaten home record.
