KCCA beat Ntugasaze 2-0 at Kira Police Arena on Tuesday to stretch their winning run to three matches in the Uganda Premier League.

Herbert Achayi and Emmanuel Anyama scored the goals that kept the Kasasiro Boys on an upward trajectory after earlier wins over Kataka and URA.

Ssenyondo praised the overall performance but insisted his side should have buried more chances to kill the game earlier.

"Our team performed well, but our problem is still burying chances. We would have concluded either two or three up, but at least we scored a second goal," Ssenyondo said after the match.

The tactician believes the squad is growing with each outing and stressed that the expectations at a big club demand constant hunger for improvement.

"It means we are growing each game. I have always told my players we need to always long for more because it's a big team," he added.

Ssenyondo also highlighted the healthy competition for places as a driver of standards across the squad.

"The quality in depth pushes others to work more and more. So whoever is given a chance should perform to fight for his position," he noted.

Achayi earned special mention for his creativity and leadership beyond the scoresheet, adding a different dimension to KCCA's attack.

"We are happy to have Herbert Achayi as part of the team because he gives us a different dimension to the game. He always creates, but he has also greatly contributed to the team's scoring tally, so we are glad that he provides leadership and productivity," Ssenyondo said.

The argument doing the rounds in Kampala is whether this KCCA side can sustain a title push if they keep leaving chances on the table against stronger opposition.
