Jinja Secondary School lifted the SkyView Boys Schools Cricket Week crown with an eight-wicket demolition of Shree Sahajanand Uganda in the final at Nyakasura School ground on Saturday.
Shree won the toss and batted first but were bundled out for 130 in their 20 overs, undone by disciplined pace bowling and five sharp run-outs from Jinja.
Juma Ssenyondo led the wicket-taking with 3/18 from his four overs, while Enock Muwanguzi chipped in with one as Jinja's fielding turned pressure into breakthroughs.
Captain Het Pindoria (33) and Uganda Under-19 star Devansh Patel (39) added 64 for the second wicket, but Shree never found the acceleration they needed on a lively surface.
The chase was emphatic. Hariom Dudharejiaya anchored with an unbeaten 50, Michu Faizo chipped in with 22, and Ssenyondo Juma smashed a rapid 48 to finish the job in 15.2 overs at 131/2.
The result ended Shree's unbeaten run through the tournament and delivered Jinja SS their sixth Schools Cricket Week title, a fine turnaround after an opening loss to Soroti SS.
The argument doing the rounds among the faithful at Nyakasura is whether Jinja's pace battery — who exploited seam movement all afternoon — would have troubled Shree had the toss gone the other way.
In the placement final, hosts Nyakasura School signed off in style, chasing down Gulu High School to win by six wickets.
