Kutchi Tigers returned to the top of Group A on Sunday after a commanding 147-run victory over Kifaru Cricket Club at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
The afternoon win came after rain washed out their morning fixture which was recorded as a draw.
Tigers now sit on six points, two clear of defending champions Ismaili Community following a strong recovery from an opening double loss.
Boosted by returning Cricket Cranes stars Robinson Obuya and wicketkeeper Cyrus Kakuru, Kutchi posted a formidable 249 for six in 18 overs after electing to bat.
Nitin Jeshani laid the foundation with an explosive 90 off 41 balls including nine fours and six sixes at a strike rate of 219.51.
Kakuru marked his return with 44 off 22 balls while Obuya smashed 23 off just nine deliveries.
Steven Wabwose remained unbeaten on 31 off 17 and Ghanshyam Ashani produced a stunning cameo of 24 off six balls at a strike rate of 400.
Kifaru were dismissed for 102 in 15 overs despite Harsh Panchal's blistering 47 off 18 balls.
Vekariya Kush Mahesh led the Kutchi attack with three wickets for 18 runs in three overs.
The argument doing the rounds in Kampala is whether this batting depth makes Kutchi Tigers outright title favourites.
