Striker Ivan Ahimbisibwe has returned to KCCA after a 35-day spell with Iraqi side Zakho Sports Club. The Hunter rejoined the Kasasiro Boys on a two-year contract on Saturday, ending speculation that linked him to champions Vipers SC. Ahimbisibwe finished top scorer in the 2025/26 StarTimes Uganda Premier League with 14 goals during his first stint at Lugogo. The club confirmed the deal through its official website where the player described the move as coming back home. KCCA have managed only one goal in their opening four league games and desperately need his firepower. Ahimbisibwe could make his second debut against former club URA FC on 9th October after the international break. He joins a striking unit that already includes Charles Lwanga, Emmanuel Anyama and Kennedy Muserero. The argument doing the rounds in Kampala is whether a player who left for Iraq in pre-season can instantly solve KCCA's blunt attack. Paperwork must be finalised before he is eligible for selection.
