FUFA will this Saturday use its 102nd General Assembly in Mbarara to confer the FUFA Presidential Award for Outstanding Contribution to Football Development in Western Uganda and the Nation. The awards will recognise personalities whose service spans various generations, from administrators, former players and other fields of football, who have carried the Western Uganda flag to the national level. The identities of the awardees will be revealed live during the Assembly.

According to FUFA Communications Director Ahmed Hussein, this is part of FUFA’s commitment to preserve history and honour those who built the game before us. Western Uganda has given so much to Ugandan football, and at our 102nd Assembly in Mbarara, we want to celebrate the pillars whose sacrifice laid the foundation we enjoy today.

The FUFA Assembly will start at 9 am on 17th October 2026.
