The Federation of Uganda Football Associations appointed Firew Hailegebreal Asefa as Head Coach of the National Women Football Teams on Thursday, with his contract running until 2029.
FUFA 1st Vice President Justus Mugisha and Deputy CEO Sheba Ampaire Ronah unveiled the Ethiopian tactician at the FUFA Complex in Mengo this afternoon.
Asefa takes charge of all Uganda women national teams, including the senior side known as the Crested Cranes.
He previously coached Kampala Queens FC, guiding the outfit to the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League and FUFA Women's Cup titles.
The 42-year-old also has experience with Ethiopia's senior and junior women national teams.
FUFA welcomed Asefa to the national team setup and wished him success in his new role.
The appointment comes as Uganda targets qualification for the 2026 Women Africa Cup of Nations.

Asefa won the domestic double with Kampala Queens and has continental experience with Ethiopia women national teams.
