England beat Croatia 4-1 in Rijeka on Friday to tighten their grip on second place in the Nations League group.
Thomas Tuchel declared his side have moved on from the World Cup semi-final loss to Argentina after the dominant display.
Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka each scored twice as England delivered what Tuchel called a complete performance.
Jude Bellingham became the first midfielder since David Platt in 1993 to register four goal involvements in one game.
Anthony Gordon and Morgan Rogers also found the net for the visitors at Stadion HNK Rijeka.
The match was played in front of 6,200 local schoolchildren despite a Uefa sanction ordering it behind closed doors.
Tuchel said the squad had used the camp to lay with the pain of the World Cup disappointment and translate meetings onto the pitch.
"We'll always have a scar, feel pain, but this is the way to move forward," the manager told reporters after the final whistle.
Alex Scott impressed on his full debut in midfield with Tuchel hailing the Bournemouth man as the complete package.
Scott said facing childhood idol Luka Modric was a surreal moment as the Croatia captain struggled to influence proceedings.
Kane will equal Peter Shilton's record of 125 caps when England host Czechia on Tuesday to close the international window.
The argument doing the rounds in Kampala is whether this front four can sustain such intensity against elite tournament opposition.
