Riazat Ali Shah will captain the Cricket Cranes at the ILT20 Cup in Kigali, Rwanda, from September 1 to 14, with Uganda hunting a third straight title.
Coach Steve Tikolo has rung wholesale changes to the squad, with most players from the Challenge League B tournament in Tanzania left out.
Riazat and Kenneth Waiswa keep their roles as captain and vice-captain, but Simon Ssesazi, Henry Ssenyondo, Raghav Dhawan, Dinesh Nakrani, Sumeet Verma and Alpesh Ramjani miss the cut.
New faces Robinson Obuya, Ronald Lutaaya, Anas Baig, Charles Mushemeza, Enock Kasaija, Matthew Musinguzi and Fahad Mutagana come into the Cranes yellow.
Joseph Baguma, youngster Gerald Olipa, Juma Miyaji, Cosmas Kyewuta and Cyrus Kakuru retain their places from the Tanzania outing.
The argument doing the rounds in Lugogo is whether Tikolo can keep the dynasty rolling with this many new bodies, or whether the reset costs the Cranes their aura.
Uganda, the defending champion, must get past hosts Rwanda, Kenya, Malawi, Sierra Leone, Tanzania and Nigeria to lift the trophy again.
