BUL FC host NEC FC at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru on Wednesday for a StarTimes Uganda Premier League top-of-the-table clash.
The Eastern Giants lead the 18-team standings with 16 points having only dropped points in a goalless draw away to Lugazi FC.
NEC FC sit on 14 points alongside SC Villa in joint second place after draws against Mbarara City and Express FC.
NEC coach Badru Kaddu wants his side to show grit and claim three points that would send them top of the log.
Kaddu confirmed the return of left-back Hakim Wandera from injury and James Jarieko from suspension for the visitors.
The Bugolobi-based outfit hope to maintain their unbeaten record against BUL FC which stands at three wins and five draws in eight meetings.
NEC FC will rely on attacking options Richard Basangwa, Marvin Oshaba, Jarieko, Allan Mugalu and Enrique Lubwama to unlock a BUL defence that has conceded only two goals.
BUL FC coach Alex Isabirye has seen his side score 13 goals, with only SC Villa netting more in the league so far.
Simon Achidi, Derrick Byabacwezi, Simon Okello and Swabir Mpasa carry the goal threat for the hosts against a NEC backline that has also conceded just twice.
A home victory would stretch BUL FC's lead over NEC FC to five points early in the campaign.
