Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid are circling Erling Haaland and several Manchester City team-mates after the Etihad club were found guilty of widespread financial rule breaches.
A massive points deduction that could condemn City to relegation has put question marks over their biggest stars.
The Norwegian striker still has around eight years left on his contract but Barcelona are hunting a long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski.
Madrid already boast Kylian Mbappe yet the Bernabeu hierarchy love a Galactico and are weighing up how to fit two elite forwards into one team.
Reports in Spain also link Josko Gvardiol, Ayyoub Bouaddi, Elliot Anderson, Enzo Fernandez and Rayan Cherki with moves to the Spanish capital.
Former Barcelona midfielder Gaizka Mendieta believes both clubs will pursue Haaland, noting the player owns a holiday home in Spain and has never hidden his affection for the country.
"Haaland's future is interesting. Let's see how things pan out at Man City. But players like him want to win trophies," Mendieta said.
He added that Barcelona's style might suit the striker better than Madrid's current set-up.
Even if City suffer the ultimate punishment they are expected to demand substantial fees as few stars are believed to carry relegation release clauses.
The argument doing the rounds in Kampala is whether Haaland would actually swap Guardiola's system for La Liga given his goal record in England.
Key figures in the developing story:
- Erling Haaland: 8 years remaining on City contract
- Charges: 130 total, guilty on all but one
- Barcelona target: Long-term Lewandowski successor
- Madrid situation: Mbappe already installed as main forward
- Mendieta verdict: Barcelona style suits Haaland better
