Baby Victoria Pearls fell to Nigeria by four wickets at Estim TCA Cricket Arena in Tanzania on Sunday.

Uganda won the toss and elected to bat but managed only 59 for seven in their twenty overs.

Shadiah Nabulime anchored the innings with 22 off 34 balls while Jimia Mohamed added 13 off 25 deliveries.

Chisom Okpe claimed two for four and Peace Usen took two for twelve to strangle the Ugandan batting.

Tino Sarah produced a sensational five for thirteen in four overs to almost turn the match around.

Her spell included two maidens and left Nigeria reeling during their chase of sixty runs.

Omosigho Eguakun steadied Nigeria with 24 off 29 balls and Christabel Chukwuonye hit 13 off ten.

Nigeria reached the target in 13.1 overs to secure a hard-fought victory in the Africa Qualifier Division 1.
