Boys’ Football: 10-man Amus College School beat Burundi’s IPTEM at FEASSA Games 2026

Amus College School wins its second game of the 2026 FEASSA Games with a 3-0 victory over Burundi’s IPTEM at the Jamuhuri Stadium in Morogoro, Tanzania. Mathias Kasadah’s red card sidelines him, costing the team a man.

Kombi Eze, Musa Suuna and Mudasir Ijosiga (penalty) scored for Amus, now sitting with six points in Group A.

This second win follows their 1-0 triumph over Mbeya Day on Friday. They top Group A but face Tanzania’s Nsumba SS in their final group match on 18 August.

Mbeya Day also won their first group game, beating Nsumba SS 2-0. In Group C, Urambo Day edged Kenya’s Kakamega High School 1-0. The Uganda vs Burundi match ended 1-all.

Tanzania hosts teams from Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda and Burundi across 20 sports disciplines, with over 5 000 participants. Football highlights Uganda’s defensive grit, while other sports include rugby, netball and athletics.

Team Uganda is defending its title. The 23-year-old FEASSA Games opens Sunday with officials and government reps attending. David Isabirye of Kawowo Sports reports.
