Laryea Kingston has released a 56-player squad for the 2026 AFCON U-20 Zonal Qualifiers on 23 August. The team will assemble at FUFA House on Monday, 24 August at 7:00am before moving to Njeru for preparations.
Denis Mugerwa, a goalkeeper for St Mary’s Kitende, is among those selected. He won the FEASSA Games title in 2026. Edirisa Waibi (Buddo SS), Gilbert Mazige (NEC FC), and Adrian Isabirye (BUL FC) complete the local highlights.
Six foreign-based players feature, including Danish international Hamza Sengooba, American Ugandan Oliver Artificial Schuytse-Fisher, and Brentford FC’s Jovan Kasuja. Charles Opakwoth of BUL FC and Uganda-based winger Opakwoth Elvis also join.
