Behind the nickname
Jogoo is the word fans use for a rooster, and the rooster is the symbol of the club. Chairman Kawooya made the rooster the club logo when he renamed the club, first Nakivubo Villa and later SC Villa. He sometimes brought roosters painted in the club colours of white and blue to matches.
Behind the badge
The SC Villa crest shows a rooster. Chairman Kawooya chose the rooster as the club logo when he renamed the club, as a sign that the club had grown up.
